ANCIENT MYTH

The Void & The Form — The Dao of Creation

Core Philosophy: "The Void is named the beginning of heaven and earth; The Form is named the mother of all things."

The Genesis of All Things

Before the cosmos, there was Wu — The Void. This was not mere emptiness, but a state of infinite, undifferentiated potential. It is the silent canvas before the painting, the stillness before the first note of music. From this profound Void emerged You — The Form. This was the first breath of existence, the primordial spark that gives shape to all phenomena. This is the eternal dance of the Dao: from the Void comes Form, and within Form, the essence of the Void is always present.

The Eternal Cycle: The Void within the Form

But the wisdom does not end there. True understanding lies in the third state: The Void within the Form. This is the realization that all forms, no matter how solid, carry the void within them and eventually return to it, while the void itself is forever brimming with the potential for new forms. It is a cycle without beginning or end:

  • The Void: The uncarved block of wood.

  • The Form: The exquisite sculpture carved from it.

  • The Void within the Form: The appreciation of the sculpture's shape, while simultaneously perceiving the empty space that defines it, and knowing that one day it may return to dust, only to become something new.

This is the rhythm of the universe—the breath of the cosmos. It is the secret behind the falling leaf that nourishes the soil for new growth.
